Simon Denton - Chairman

Simon began his offshore career in 1988 with The Consult Group, Principality of Andorra before joining the Gibraltar offices of The Sovereign Group in 1990, still the HQ of Sovereign. During his 6 years based in Gibraltar he was the Managing Director of Sovereign Trust (Gibraltar) Ltd, he served two terms as Chairman of the Association of Trust & Company Managers and was a member of the Gibraltar Government Financial Sector Legislation Committee. Simon then moved to London in 1996 to establish the Group’s UK subsidiaries and he continues to be the Managing Director of these two companies. 

Simon has been the Chairperson of the UK Chapter of The Offshore Institute, is still the Vice President of The Royal Society of Fellows, continues to be a member of The Institute of Management and with David Baron became the founder and Chairman of International Professionals Association Ltd. Simon is a regular lecturer and speaker at tax planning conventions throughout the world. Simon was once a professional squash player and is now an international cyclist.

Richard Cruickshank - Founding Member

Richard was admitted as a solicitor in 1978 and was a partner in the firm of Mayfair Solicitors for many years.  He is now a consultant to Kidd Rapinet LLP at their Canary Wharf office. Richard has acted for overseas clients for most of his career and is familiar with many of the difficulties that they are likely to encounter in setting up a business in the UK. Through him, Kidd Rapinet has become a member of the UK Advisory Network (set up by UK Trade & Investment) which is a network of advisors providing high quality and trusted professional support for foreign investors setting up in the UK.

David Barron - Founding Member

"David Barron has been Senior Manager-International with Bank of Nevis International Limited since 1 July 2013 and lists the development of the bank’s client base with Citizenship by Investment passport holders as one of his key priorities. He is a British citizen and brings to the position 30 years of experience in international banking, including 18 years in wealth management having managed operational offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, The Bahamas, and Barbados. In addition, he has been closely involved in developing banking business relationships from Nevis and St. Lucia with financial  intermediaries and their clients in the Caribbean and Western Europe. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (FCIBS) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP).”

Simon Perks - Founding Member

Simon Perks has worked for a number of UK and foreign Banks most recently for Banco Santander Totta, London Branch (part of the Santander Group) for over 15 years, where he was responsible for the Branch's commercial and retail activities. During this period, he built up a substantial corporate and residential mortgage portfolio.Simon is the Vice Chairman of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Director of the International Professionals Association.Simon's areas of expertise are UK corporate debt facilities and financing residential property in Europe.

Steven Landes - Founding Member

Steven was born in Manchester and grew up in Reading attending the Reading Blue Coat School. 

He went to the University of Essex where he studied Economics and then joined Blick Rothenberg where he qualified as a chartered accountant.  He then joined Ernst & Young (or Arthur Young as it was then).  He joined Berg Kaprow Lewis in 1988 becoming a partner in 1990.  He left them in 1993 to form S H Landes LLP (also accountants of IPAL) which has now grown to become the leading small firm of chartered accountants dealing with Russia and the CIS market. In 2018 the non-audit part of S H Landes LLP became the London office of the Hawksford Group and Steven Landes became the London Office Managing Director.
Steven lectures regularly to members of the Russo British Chamber of Commerce with Russia Consulting on setting up and operating businesses in Russia, and has had several articles published in Kommersant on tax and other corporate issues effecting Russians either living in or trading with the UK. He has also been interviewed by leading media organisations on the effect on sanctions on Russia and has advised the UK government on taxation on trade with Russia. Steven is married with two children and lives in Kent.  When not working he is an avid Spurs fan.
